The state guarantees a one-off financial assistance to servicemen who were injured in the line of duty

Kyiv residents who defended Ukraine at the front and were wounded can receive financial assistance in the amount of UAH 45,000. The application can be submitted online.

The details were posted on Facebook on 26 October by Marina Honda, deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration. The request can be submitted through the ‘Portal of Defenders’.

How to apply for assistance:

  • Offline through the Kyiv Military Hub (through a representative or in person) to the Department of Social and Veteran Policy of the Kyiv City State Administration
  • Online on the KCSA website

This assistance is available to Kyiv residents who were hospitalised as a result of injuries sustained in the territories where hostilities are ongoing. This applies to the period after the relevant decision of the Kyiv City Council comes into force, namely from 24 September 2024.

The decision on payment is made within a month. The funds are received in the first decade of the following month.

The state guarantees the payment of a one-time financial assistance to servicemen who were injured in the line of duty. This payment is made for any injury that led to the establishment of a disability group or resulted in partial disability, including the following

  • wounding
  • dislocation
  • mine-blast injury
  • concussion
  • tear
  • sprain
  • fracture
  • poisoning, etc

The timeframe for receiving the one-off financial assistance depends on the relevant consideration by the Commission of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. The assistance is paid after the documents are reviewed.
