The beginning of February in Ukraine will be marked by real winter weather. Cold weather with severe frosts is expected throughout the week from 2 to 8 February, which will only gradually weaken at the end of the period. Atmospheric processes will cause mostly dry days, but with a noticeable drop in air temperature. This was reported by forecaster Igor Kibalchich, writes Meteoprog.
At the beginning of the week, from 2 to 4 February, the coldest weather will persist in most regions. Night-time temperatures will drop to significantly below zero, especially in the northern, eastern and central regions. It will also remain frosty during the day, with no significant warming of the air. Due to the influence of a cold anticyclone, precipitation is unlikely, but the frost will intensify due to clear weather.
A gradual warming is expected in the middle of the week. The frost will remain, but will become less intense, especially during the daytime. In some regions, daytime temperatures will approach moderate sub-zero values, creating a feeling of slight warming compared to the beginning of the week.
Closer to the weekend, on 7-8 February, the trend towards higher temperatures will become more noticeable. During the day, temperatures in the southern and western regions may approach zero, and in some places there may be a slight warming. At the same time, frosts will continue at night, so sharp daily temperature fluctuations will remain a characteristic feature of this period.
In general, the week from 2 to 8 February will be cold and wintry, with severe frosts at the beginning and a gradual easing of the cold at the end. Such weather conditions can cause icy roads and pavements, so it is important to be careful and take winter risks into account when travelling.
We would like to remind you that in January, traffic was blocked in some regions due to frost.
