Weather forecast for 8 February in Kyiv and the region

The weather in Kyiv on 8 February is expected to be clear and without precipitation. The same situation is expected in the region. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre.

According to meteorologists, there will be ice on the roads in some places. The wind will be mostly northeast, 5-10 m/s.

The temperature at night will be 5-10°C, during the day 0-4°C. In Kyiv, the temperature will be 6-8°C at night and 1-3°C during the day.

On Saturday, 8 February, there will be no precipitation in most regions of the country. On the roads, except for most of the western and southern regions, there will be icy conditions.

According to Natalka Didenko, a weather forecaster, on 8 and 9 February, Kyiv will be dominated by anticyclonic weather – dry, even sunny, with frost at night down to -7-10 degrees (map below), and during the day it is expected to be within 0-2 degrees below zero.

The anticyclone is pressing down, the atmospheric pressure is rising, so no precipitation is expected in Ukraine. According to her, some people may experience headaches from the high atmospheric pressure, but the sun’s heat will increase and there will be more clearings.

At the same time, the frost will increase at night, but during the day it will return to almost zero.

The temperature is expected to be -4-10 degrees overnight and on Sunday night in Ukraine, and during the day on 8 and 9 February, the temperature will fluctuate around zero, with the eastern regions experiencing a colder -1-4 degrees.

On Saturday and Sunday, the wind will be from the east, moderate, and in the south, in the Azov region, as well as tomorrow in Volyn and Rivne regions, gusts of up to 15-20 metres per second are likely.
