Traffic partially blocked on Kyiv-Chernihiv motorway due to accident involving petrol tanker

An accident occurred on the 35th kilometre of the M-01 Kyiv-Chernihiv motorway near the village of Kalynivka. There are casualties as a result of the accident involving a petrol tanker.

Traffic in the direction of Kyiv is partially blocked. This was reported by the police press service.

All necessary services are working at the scene. Patrol officers at the scene are ensuring road safety.

‘Dear drivers, please take this information into account when planning your route. Strictly follow the traffic rules,’ the statement said.

We remind you that traffic on the Kyiv-Chop motorway in Zakarpattia and Lviv regions was hampered by heavy snowfall. Sections on mountain passes proved to be particularly problematic.
