Traffic on Khreshchatyk will be temporarily restricted to separate lanes

Vehicles on Khreshchatyk Street will not be allowed to drive in separate lanes. The restrictions will be in effect from 15 to 19 April. This was reported by the press service of Kyivavtodor.

The restrictions will be in effect:

15, 16, 18 April from 22:00 to 6:00;

16, 17, 19 April from 8:00 to 17:00.

During this time, specialists will be repairing the road surface. The utility company stressed that the dates of the work may change due to weather conditions. However, they should be completed on time – 19 April.

Road closures in Kyiv

Since 5 April, European Union Avenue has been blocked in Kyiv. It is located in the Podil district of Kyiv and runs from Vyshhorodska Street to Gazoprovodna Street.

The detour will be carried out via Vasyl Porik Avenue – via Svobody Avenue – to European Union Avenue and back.
Starting from 5 April, traffic will be closed on European Union Avenue from Vasyl Porik Avenue to Svobody Avenue due to the construction of the Syretsko-Pecherskaya subway line.

On 31 March, traffic was also blocked in Kyiv due to the arrival of foreign delegations. This was due to security measures during official visits by foreign delegations. Residents and visitors of the capital were asked to take this information into account when planning their itinerary.

Representatives of various countries discussed issues related to the end of Russia’s war against Ukraine. Discussions are ongoing in Europe regarding the deployment of a peacekeeping contingent to Ukrainian territory to ensure sustainable peace.
