The summer season is open: Ukrzaliznytsia launches additional flights from Kyiv

Ukrzaliznytsia is scheduling a number of passenger trains for the summer season due to increased demand. This is stated in a statement by the company’s press service.

Summer has made adjustments to the schedule and now we can see the traditional increase in demand for tickets in certain destinations. In total, Ukrzaliznytsia has provided 18 pairs of additional trains so that everyone can get to their families, friends or a dream holiday. Some of the trains are already in the schedule, while others will be scheduled additionally.

Ukrzaliznytsia’s summer 2025 trains

The first train No. 228/227 Ivano-Frankivsk – Kramatorsk, which was announced earlier, will run every other day. This flight is considered one of the longest in the country, as the route covers 1358 km.

• Ivano-Frankivsk: 21:52 → Kramatorsk: 18:28
• Kramatorsk: 19:20 → Ivano-Frankivsk: 16:45

It covers both night/day services between Ivano-Frankivsk and Kyiv and day/night services between Kyiv and Kramatorsk.

The train 220/219 Kyiv – Dnipro will also run on selected days of the week and will strengthen the daytime connection between the cities.

• From Dnipro: 08:36 → arrival in Kyiv: 15:19

Ideal for travellers to other countries, as there are connections to international trains to Moldova and Poland in Kyiv:

• №351/352 Kyiv – Chisinau
• 705/706 Kyiv – Przemysl
• No. 67/68 Kyiv – Warsaw
• 19/20 Kyiv – Chełm

The Intercity train No. 765/764 Kyiv – Odesa is also one of the most popular this summer. The flight will strengthen the sea route between the capital and South Palmyra. It will operate from the capital of Ukraine starting from 27 June and from Odesa on 28 June with a frequency of 6 times a week.

• Odesa: 06:54 → Kyiv: 15:01

As the company explained, it is especially convenient for residents of Chernihiv and Sumy: they arrive in Kyiv in the evening and leave in Odesa in the morning.

The Intercity+ train 736/735 Kyiv – Dnipro is another of the busiest destinations. It will run on certain days of the week, and will strengthen the night connection between the capital and Dnipro.

• Departure from Kyiv: 23:52 → arrival in Dnipro: 05:45
• Departure from Dnipro: 23:24 → arrival in Kyiv: 05:17

Convenient for residents of Dnipro, as there are additional convenient transfers in both directions to Lutsk, Rivne, Lviv, as well as Chernihiv, Shostka, Sumy in Kyiv.

Train No. 283/284 Kyiv – Uzhhorod will run every other day, increasing connections with the western part of Zakarpattia.

• Uzhhorod: 23:13 → Lviv: 05:51 → Kyiv: 13:12

It is quite convenient for passengers from Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipro, as they can transfer from Intercity+ trains and move further west, and also covers the daytime connection Kyiv – Lviv – Kyiv and the nighttime connection Lviv – Uzhhorod – Lviv.

The Carpathian direction always remains relevant. The train 203/204 Kyiv – Yasinia will run every other day, strengthening the connection with the eastern part of Zakarpattia.

• Yasinia: 18:05 → Lviv: 00:51 → Kyiv: 09:18

It is convenient for passengers from Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kramatorsk, and Sloviansk to transfer from Intercity+ trains in Kyiv and continue to the West, and also covers the night service Kyiv – Lviv – Kyiv and the day service Lviv – Yasinia – Lviv.

Intercity+ train No. 739/740 Kyiv – Kryvyi Rih will strengthen the connection between the capital and Kryvbas.

Passengers from Kryvyi Rih will be able to make convenient transfers in Kyiv to the train to Chełm (Poland) and high-speed trains to Lutsk, Rivne, and Lviv.

As a reminder, Ukrzaliznytsia urged to arrive at the railway stations half an hour before departure due to enhanced checks.
