The driver of a Seat Toledo car hit a 72-year-old woman on a pedestrian crossing

A traffic accident occurred in the town of Ukrainka, Obukhiv district, Kyiv region, resulting in injuries to a woman. The accident happened on 11 December at around 4:30 p.m., according to the National Police press service.

According to preliminary information from the police, a 49-year-old female driver of a Seat Toledo car hit a 72-year-old female pedestrian who was crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing.

As a result of the accident, the victim suffered bodily injuries. Medical personnel hospitalised the woman to provide the necessary assistance.

Following the incident, investigators from the Obukhiv District Police Department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of traffic safety rules, resulting in moderate bodily harm to the victim. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
