The body of a man was found in a house in the Obukhiv district

A tragic incident occurred in the village of Khotiv, Obukhiv district, Kyiv region: a 33-year-old man died, and two women aged 66 and 87 were hospitalised. The police were notified of the situation by a relative who found his family members unconscious on 9 December.

Police, medics, rescuers and the gas service arrived at the scene. Despite the assistance provided, the man could not be saved. The women were taken to hospital for treatment.

According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic medical expert, the cause of death was food poisoning. Investigators from the Obukhiv District Police Department opened a criminal case under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, marked as an ‘accident.’
