The Armed Forces of Ukraine explained Russia’s combined strike on Ukraine on 6 April

On the night of 6 April 2025, the occupiers from the Russian Federation carried out a combined attack on Ukraine. They used air-, land-, and sea-based missiles and attack drones. This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force.

132 means of air attack were detected – 23 missiles of various types and 109 attack UAVs (other types of imitators), including

6 Iskander-M ballistic missiles;

8 Kalibr cruise missiles;

9 X-101/X-55SM cruise missiles;

109 Shahed strike UAVs and other types of imitation drones.

Air attacks were repelled by aviation and anti-aircraft missile units. It was confirmed that 6 X-101/X-55SM cruise missiles, 6 Kalibr cruise missiles, 1 Iskander-M ballistic missile, 40 Shahed attack UAVs, 53 enemy imitator drones were destroyed.

The 6 April attack on Ukraine

On 6 April, Russia attacked various cities in Ukraine.

On 6 April, Kyiv was attacked by Russia. Missile strikes on the Ukrainian capital caused fires. Several people were injured, the body of a man was found in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv.

Russians shelled Buchansky Fastiv and Brovary districts. Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy and Mykolaiv regions were also affected.
