Stuck on the ice: rescuers helped five fishermen near the village of Novi Petrivtsi

The State Emergency Service helped rescue fishermen in the Kyiv region. Five men got stuck on the ice near the village of Novi Petrivtsi. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service.

The winter fishing enthusiasts found themselves about a kilometer from the shore and could not escape on their own. This was due to a gap about 10 meters wide that cut off the path to land.

Thanks to the quick and coordinated actions of the rescuers and police, all the victims were brought to the shore, where an ambulance was waiting for them. None of the fishermen were injured.

Law enforcement officials urged Ukrainians to follow ice safety rules. In March, temperature fluctuations are recorded, so the ice cover can be dangerous.
