    Opened in 1961, the base has undergone several stages of modernisation over the decades, the most extensive of which took place in 1995-1998. After reconstruction, the complex meets modern European standards, allowing coaches and players to train at a high professional level.

    The complex includes six football fields with natural turf and two fields with artificial turf, which allows training even in difficult weather conditions. In addition to the fields, the base has a 100×72-metre indoor arena with synthetic turf, which allows training at any time of the year, regardless of weather conditions. In addition to sports facilities, the base is equipped with administrative premises, gyms, medical rooms, conference rooms and recreation rooms for athletes. This infrastructure creates a comprehensive training process, where every aspect of the players’ preparation is taken into account and organised at a high level.

    The base is owned by the Dynamo Kyiv football club, and it is thanks to the club that the base has gained the status of a professional training centre for both the main team and youth teams. Dynamo-2 plays its matches there, and the first team conducts regular training sessions, recovery sessions and special training camps. The base also serves as a venue for sports camps for youth and children’s teams, allowing the next generation of footballers to be trained and prepared for a professional career at a high level.

    A modern sports complex on the southern outskirts of Kyiv

    The complex’s location at 50 Stolichnoe Shosse provides convenient access from the centre of Kyiv and allows for the development of a full-fledged infrastructure, including accommodation for athletes, catering, recreation and recovery areas.     In the 12th round of the 2025/26 Ukrainian Football Championship, Dynamo Kyiv unexpectedly suffered a defeat on their home turf. The team from Cherkasy, LNZ, won 0:1, demonstrating high discipline and organised defence, which did not allow the hosts to capitalise on numerous opportunities.

    The game took place on 9 November at the V. Lobanovsky Stadium. Dynamo took to the field with the intention of continuing their successful run after their victory in the European Cup, but the visitors proved to be very tactically competent. The only goal of the match was scored by Yevhen Pastukh in the 45+1st minute. In the second half, the Kyiv team tried to impose their pace and pressure, looking for ways to score, but the LNZ defence worked well, repelling all attacks.

    The ‘white-and-blues’ had an advantage in possession and control of the pace, but it did not translate into goals. Andriy Yarmolenko was injured in the first half, which added to the team’s difficulties. The substitution did not radically change the situation on the pitch. On the contrary, LNZ showed disciplined defence, coordinated counterattacks and effective conversion of one of their few chances. This combination of tactics and discipline allowed the visitors to hold on to their winning score until the final whistle, despite active attempts by the Kyiv team to score.

    After this defeat, Dynamo dropped to fourth place in the standings with 20 points. At the same time, LNZ climbed to second place with 23 points, proving that it is capable of competing with the leaders of the UPL. For Kyiv, this defeat was a signal that even big clubs can face serious problems in the final phase of attacks.

    The defeat was an important lesson for Dynamo: even big clubs are not immune to surprises, and problems with converting scoring opportunities can be costly in the standings. The team must work quickly to eliminate its shortcomings, otherwise its high ambitions will remain unfulfilled.

    For LNZ, this victory is further confirmation that the club from Cherkasy is capable of creating sensations and competing with the strongest teams in Ukraine.
