‘Strong winds in Kyiv”: police call to observe safety measures and name norms

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre, the weather on 3 May will surprise Ukrainians, with wind gusts of up to 15-30 m/s expected in the evening. The Patrol Police called on Telegram to follow simple safety rules.

The agency provided a list of rules:

• Do not walk under trees, near construction sites and billboards;
• It is better not to leave cars under trees, billboards, or near power poles;
• Stay away from electric wires as much as possible;
• Close windows and doors to avoid damage;
• Remove anything that could fall or fly off the balcony.

In case of danger, call the special line 112.

May forecast in Ukraine

The forecast for May 2025 provides for anticyclonic weather conditions, so forecasters do not expect significant precipitation. The air temperature will be close to normal.

After 4-5 May, the weather will be more unstable due to the intensification of cyclonic activity and the passage of atmospheric fronts from the west. The weather in May may also be cool. Some parts of Ukraine may experience short-term frosts in the first half of the month, mainly in the north and west. Their impact will be limited in area and will not cause significant damage compared to the April cold.
