Starting from 1 July, schoolchildren will be charged for public transport in Kyiv

From 1 July to 31 August, schoolchildren in Kyiv will have to pay for public transport. There will be a 75% discount on travel cards. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration.

From 1 July to 31 August, cadets of the city’s higher military educational institutions will also have to pay for public transport on a general basis.

You can buy discounted travel cards

• via the Kyiv Digital app (https://kyiv.digital/start);
• self-service terminal.

You can top up your student card at the ticket offices of Kyiv Metro (Vydubychi 1, Pochayna 1, Vokzalna), through the website of the GIOC or in the EasyPay app.

The student ticket can be used for single trips, but the student discount does not apply in this case.

As a reminder, Ukrzaliznytsia has announced a list of additional trains for the summer. Passengers will be able to conveniently and comfortably travel on a number of additional trains between Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa and Truskavets.
