Shelling on August 28: Kyiv authorities describe the consequences of the Russian military strike

On August 28, Kyiv suffered a serious attack by Russian invaders. 225 residential buildings were damaged. Currently, 22 people are known to have died. This was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration.

In all districts of the capital, along with non-residential buildings, damage to garages, courtyards, and public buildings was recorded. In total, more than 5,400 windows and window blocks were broken. Almost 4,000 of them were in the Holosiivskyi district.

Search and rescue operations are continuing at the main location in the Darnytskyi district and will continue throughout the night. There are people who have been out of contact since the Russian attack, so the number of confirmed deaths may rise. Four children are already known to have died, the youngest of whom was only two years old.

Rescue workers have completed their work at most locations. Volunteers are also helping.

Russian troops attacked Kyiv on August 28. Dozens of people, including children, were killed in the massive strike.

Non-residential buildings and high-rise buildings were damaged, as were educational institutions and transport infrastructure. Emergency services are working everywhere on the ground.

In the city center, a shopping center was hit. Residential buildings near it were also damaged.

In the Darnytskyi district, residential buildings were damaged, including a five-story building, which was destroyed from the first to the fifth floors. Debris from drones fell on the roof of a nine-story residential building, causing a fire.

Russian troops also destroyed a passenger train. The Intercity train on the Kyiv-Kharkiv route was supposed to depart today. The invaders carried out a targeted strike.

On the night of August 28 (from 7:30 p.m. on August 27), according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian troops launched a massive strike on the territory of the state using air- and ground-based strike drones, a total of 629 air attack weapons.
