Putin: Russia must multiply capabilities of ground forces in the shortest possible time

Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin has called on the military command to increase the capabilities of the ground forces. He ordered this to be done as soon as possible. The dictator made the statement at a meeting with officials.

According to him, it is the ground component that needs to be strengthened quickly.

‘Russia must multiply the capabilities of the ground forces in the shortest possible time,’ Putin said.

He also added that the nuclear triad remains a guarantee of Russia’s sovereignty. The politician demands that bases and airfields be prepared in advance for new weapons systems so that they are not deployed ‘in an open field’.

‘Today, our task is to formulate a new long-term programme for the entire range of weapons systems and models, including, first and foremost, of course, promising ones, to make the most of the experience of special military operations, various regional conflicts, and, of course, it is important to take into account global trends in the development of military technologies,’ the Russian president said.
