Carrots are getting cheaper in Ukraine in April. This is due to limited supply. Prices for carrots in Ukraine may continue to fall. The details were provided by EastFruit analysts.
In their opinion, the price drop in this segment continues due to the decline in demand for the product. The market is also under considerable pressure from an increase in the supply of non-standard carrots, which producers are trying to sell in the first place.
According to the project’s daily monitoring data, carrots are currently being sold in Ukrainian farms at 24-30 UAH/kg. These figures are on average 10% cheaper than at the end of last week.

The producers themselves say that prices for carrots in Ukraine are quite restrained due to the demand for the vegetable, and the quality of these root crops in storage is rapidly deteriorating. It is worth noting that farmers are forced to reduce wholesale prices in this segment. They are doing this despite the fact that the stocks of carrots in Ukrainian farms’ storage facilities are rapidly decreasing.
However, it is worth noting that even under these conditions, Ukrainian farmers manage to sell carrots at an average price 3.5 times higher than in early April 2024.
