Polish President Andrzej Duda arrived in Kyiv by train on 28 June, Constitution Day. In Kyiv, he will meet with
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.
The company stressed that the Polish people are friendly and have demonstrated true solidarity with the Ukrainian people in difficult times since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
‘We are glad to welcome old friends of Ukraine on board our trains,’ the statement said.

Andrzej Duda also received the award. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has awarded the President of Poland the Order of Freedom.
It is noted that the award was presented for outstanding personal merits in strengthening Ukrainian-Polish international cooperation, the territorial integrity of Ukraine and support for state sovereignty.
The Order of Freedom is the highest order of Ukraine that can be awarded to foreigners and stateless persons. This state award is given for special merits in the establishment of Ukraine’s independence and sovereignty; consolidation of Ukrainian society; socio-economic and political reforms; development of democracy, defence of constitutional rights and freedoms of man and citizen.

Previously, this award was given to, among others, Prime Minister of Italy George Meloni, (at the time) Prime Ministers of Great Britain Rishi Sunak and Canada Justin Trudeau.
As a reminder, the US media reported in May that Russia was amassing forces to occupy land up to the outskirts of Kyiv.
