Parts of cluster munitions found in Nyvky after Russian attack on 17 June – Klitschko

On 17 June, Russia attacked Kyiv not only with drones and missiles, but also with cluster munitions. Parts of them are being found in the Nyvky district of the capital. This was reported by Mayor Vitali Klitschko on his Telegram channel.

The head of the capital stressed that the Russian invaders are deliberately using weapons against people.

‘Another evidence of the genocide that Russia is committing against Ukrainians,’ he said.

He added that three people have been killed so far in Darnytsia district. A total of 114 injured people sought medical attention after the massive enemy attack. 68 of them were hospitalised.

Shelling of Kyiv and Ukraine on 17 June

Russian troops attacked Kyiv on 17 June. According to preliminary information, 14 people were killed in the attack.

A fire was reported on the upper floors of a residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Dozens of people were injured in a massive enemy attack in the capital.

In Solomenskyi district, for example, the rubble is being cleared from a residential building where an entire entranceway collapsed.

More than 440 drones and 32 missiles were used by Russian troops, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It was one of the worst strikes on Kyiv. Odesa, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv regions were also attacked during the night.

As a reminder, two people were injured in the Ukrainian capital as a result of a night attack by Russian troops on 16 June.
