Modernised electric trains will run in the Kyiv region

Electric train ER9E No. 590 will run in the Kyiv region. In total, eight trains have been completely modernised at the Kyiv Electric Train Repair Plant (KEVRZ) since the beginning of the year. This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.

The trains were built back in 1982–1994, so by now they were already ‘tired’. After three months of painstaking work, KEVRZ specialists managed to repair and modernise them.

Now passengers can use them for comfortable travel. They are equipped with inclusive seats, Braille, ramps, a changing table, bicycle racks, modern design, comfortable seats, connectors for charging gadgets, and contrasting markings.

‘These trains are the result of the tireless work of engineers, repairmen, and railway workers who, despite all the difficulties of today, get down to business and make the impossible possible,’ the post says.
