Today, 28 April, at 12:36, a major accident was reported on the Warsaw Highway near the village of Borodianka.
The Kyiv Regional Police are investigating the details of the major accident involving six vehicles. This was reported by the regional police press office.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred on the M-07 motorway, where roadworks are currently underway. The driver of a DAF lorry lost control and collided with four vehicles travelling ahead — a Volkswagen Golf, a Volkswagen Transporter, a Chevrolet Epica and a Renault Master. The impact was so severe that the damaged cars were thrown into the oncoming lane, where they collided with another DAF lorry that was travelling towards them at that moment.
As a result of the accident, five people were injured, with one of the victims requiring urgent hospitalisation. Law enforcement officers are at the scene investigating the circumstances of the incident.

Due to a road accident, traffic on this section of the road is severely disrupted. Drivers are advised to take this into account when planning their route to avoid any inconvenience.
As a reminder, an investigation is ongoing in the Kyiv region into the tragic death of a man who was struck and killed by a train in the Obukhiv district.
