Kyiv’s “Sokil” has become a 16-time Ukrainian champion

The 2025/2026 season of the Ukrainian Men’s Ice Hockey Championship has officially come to an end. In the fifth match of the final play-off series, Kyiv’s Sokil secured a 5–2 victory over Kremenchuk at home (2–0, 0–0, 3–2).

In the best-of-seven series, the capital city team prevailed with a 4–1 scoreline.

For Sokil, this triumph marked the 16th in the club’s history and their first championship title since 2024. Kremenchuk, meanwhile, claimed the Ukrainian championship silver medal for the fifth time. Third place and the bronze medals went to the Odeshchyna team.

Last season, the Ukrainian championship title went to Kremenchuk.

Earlier, the Sokil HC players secured an away victory against Kremenchuk in the fourth match of the Ukrainian championship play-off final series. The match ended with a score of 3–2.
