Annual financial assistance has been increased for Kyiv defenders with war-related disabilities of groups I and II.
The initiative of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko provides for an increase in payments. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration.
The annual one-time financial assistance for Kyiv residents who took part in the defence of the Motherland and received disabilities of groups I and II as a result of the war has been increased. From now on, the payments will amount to UAH 30,000 and UAH 40,000, respectively:
- Group 2 – from UAH 20 to 30 thousand;
- Group 1 – from UAH 30 to 40 thousand.
Those who have already received assistance in 2025 will receive an additional payment.
Kyiv residents with war-related disabilities of groups I-II who were registered in the capital before 28 February 2025 and continue to be registered in Kyiv without interruption can receive the funds. This also applies to those who have IDP status, a certificate with a registration address in Kyiv at least a year before applying, were registered in the territories temporarily occupied by Russian troops or areas of active hostilities before displacement, and do not own real estate in the government-controlled territory of Ukraine.
How to apply for benefits for payment
- If you have already received assistance, the recalculation will be made automatically
- If you are applying for assistance for the first time, you can apply through the Kyiv Military Hub or online through the Defenders’ Electronic Cabinet on the city’s Service Portal
