In Vyshneve, the Ternopil-Kyiv train ran over a woman

The Kyiv region police are investigating the circumstances of an incident on the railway in the town of Vyshneve. A train travelling from Ternopil to Kyiv ran over a woman. This was reported by the police press service.

The train driver sounded the horn and applied the emergency brakes, but was unable to prevent the tragedy. The 80-year-old woman died at the scene from her injuries.

Law enforcement officers have opened a criminal case. The Kyiv Region Police emphasise that railway tracks are a high-risk area, so caution should be exercised.
