Hyundai driver was killed in an accident in the village of Novi Petrivtsi

In the Vyshgorod district, law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of a fatal traffic accident that occurred at an intersection in the village of Novi Petrivtsi, according to the press service of the Kyiv region police.

According to preliminary data, a 76-year-old driver of a Hyundai IX35 crossover, while pulling out onto the main road, failed to give way to a Nissan Rogue driven by a 42-year-old woman. This resulted in a collision between the vehicles.

The Hyundai driver died at the scene from his injuries. Two underage passengers in the Nissan Rogue were injured and taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Investigators from the Kyiv Region Police Investigation Department have initiated criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of traffic safety rules resulting in death. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

The Kyiv Region Police urges drivers to be careful on the road, follow traffic rules, choose a safe speed, and be responsible for their own safety and that of other road users.
