An accident occurred in the Tarashchanskyi district, near one of the public transport stops. This was reported by the Kyiv region police.
It has been preliminarily established that the 67-year-old driver of a Mitsubishi Outlander was travelling from the city of Bila Tserkva towards the village of Shkarivka. The driver was distracted and drove through a red light. As a result, the driver hit five pedestrians who were crossing the road at a regulated pedestrian crossing. The driver’s examination did not confirm that he was intoxicated.
Four minors suffered minor injuries: an 8-year-old boy, two 15-year-old girls and a 16-year-old girl. They were given qualified medical assistance and sent home. A 54-year-old woman also suffered moderate injuries.

Investigators from the Bila Tserkva District Police Department in Kyiv Oblast informed the driver that he was under suspicion (Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
