The weather forecast for 28 April for the Kyiv region and the city of Kyiv predicts variable cloud cover and cool weather.
No precipitation is expected overnight, though light rain is possible in places during the day. This is according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre.
The wind will be moderate, north-westerly, with speeds of 7–12 m/s. Temperatures across the region will range from 0 to -3°C at night (with ground frost), whilst daytime temperatures are expected to reach 6-11°C. The situation in Kyiv is similar — at night, temperatures will range from 1 to 3°C, with ground frost down to -2°C, whilst during the day the air will warm up to a comfortable 8-10°C.
Please note the official warning regarding hazardous weather conditions. On the night of 28 April, ground frost is forecast in Kyiv, and during the nights of 29 and 30 April, the air temperature may drop to -2°. A Level I hazard warning (yellow) has been issued for the capital.
Frosts are also forecast across the region during the nights of 28, 29 and 30 April, with temperatures ranging from 0 to -3°. In this case, a Level II (orange) danger warning has been issued.
Such a cold snap could damage flowering fruit trees, so we recommend taking measures to protect them. Spring continues to surprise us with its temperature swings, but it is important to be vigilant and prepared for the challenges of nature.
