Five cars collided on the road in Vyshneve

The Kyiv Regional Police are investigating the circumstances of an incident in which five cars collided.

Yesterday at around 13:00, a report was received regarding a road traffic accident that occurred on Vyacheslav Chornovil Street in the town of Vyshneve. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv Regional Police.

According to preliminary information, a 38-year-old driver of a ZAZ Lanos, travelling towards the village of Kryukivshchyna, lost control of the vehicle and veered into the oncoming lane. This led to a collision with a Renault Master, a Honda Civic and a Jeep Compass, and subsequently to a head-on collision with a BMW X7.

As a result of the accident, the driver of the Lanos sustained injuries and was taken to hospital.

Investigators from the Bucha District Police Department have launched a pre-trial investigation into suspected breaches of road safety regulations resulting in injury (Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Earlier, an investigation was underway in the Kyiv region into a tragic road traffic accident that occurred in the village of Novi Petrivtsi in the Vyshhorod district. A 67-year-old driver of a DAF CF 85 lorry struck a 66-year-old man who was crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing.
