Filming the abuse on a phone: police found the cat’s juvenile abusers through social media

The police in Kyiv region have brought to justice the parents of children who had been cruelly treating an animal.

Juvenile inspectors identified all the people involved in the incident and brought the teenagers’ parents to administrative responsibility for abusing the cat. This was reported by the press service of the National Police of the Kyiv region.

The video of the animal abuse was discovered during Internet monitoring.

In the recording, one of the girls threw the cat into the bushes, the other recorded the actions on a mobile phone camera, and the third watched.

Law enforcement officers identified the teenagers involved in the incident. They were three girls from the Volodarsk community aged 12 to 15.

Administrative proceedings were initiated. The police of Kyiv region call on parents to pay more attention to the upbringing of their children and to foster a humane attitude towards animals.

In Brovary, teenagers are allegedly shooting at animals with air guns. About a week ago, a resident of the city noticed a group of people shooting at tin cans in the Shevchenko Park area, and later saw a wounded cat.
