Drunk driver hits two schoolgirls in Rokytne

The driver of a Geely hit two young children. The accident was recorded in the village of Rokytne. This was reported by the press service of the National Police.

The driver of the vehicle was driving on one of the streets of the village. Later, he hit two girls, aged 12 and 13, who were moving along the roadside in the same direction.

The children, who were injured, were taken to the hospital.

The driver’s blood alcohol content was found to be 2.42 ppm. In addition, law enforcement officers found out that in April of this year, according to a court decision, he was deprived of the right to drive vehicles for five years. The man was prosecuted for a number of administrative offenses, including driving while intoxicated.

The offender was detained and placed in a temporary detention center. Investigators served the suspect a notice of suspicion.
