The Kyiv region’s SES units will continue to use new technologies to carry out rescue operations.
One of the latest tools is the Chasing M2 Pro Max underwater drone. This was reported on the SES Telegram channel.
This device allows for a thorough survey of water bodies at depths of up to 150 metres, real-time video recording, search for missing people and inspection of sunken objects.
The drone’s powerful optics and high manoeuvrability make it possible to operate in low visibility conditions. Such a drone significantly reduces the time of search operations and minimises risks to personnel.
The agency stressed that the use of innovative equipment is an important step towards improving the safety of Ukrainians and the efficiency of rescuers.
Chasing M2 Pro Max drone – features and applications
The Chasing M2 Pro Max is an industrial-grade underwater remotely operated vehicle designed for government and corporate users. It is equipped with eight vector thrusters that allow for 360-degree omnidirectional movement. The ROV can navigate at a maximum speed of 3 knots, dive to a depth of 200 metres and move along a maximum horizontal radius of 400 metres.
The Chasing M2 Pro Max drone uses a quick-assembly and disassembly technology that allows for tool-free assembly and disassembly of more than 20 accessories such as sonars, the CHASING USBL kit and the CHASING water sampler. Additionally, the Chasing M2 Pro Max has five integrated ports, making it easy to install multiple accessories. Up to five accessories can be installed simultaneously.
The submersible is powered by the second generation C-MOTOR 2.0 motor, which has 30% more power for better anti-stalling performance. The second generation shore power system (C-SPSS) is an optional accessory. It uses a battery compartment design with an increased output power of up to 1500W, ensuring that the M2 PRO MAX can operate at full capacity at all times without interruption.
The 8000 lumen external spotlights can achieve a best beam angle of 150°, which eliminates the reflection of floating debris and clearly illuminates every detail. The Chasing M2 Pro Max drone provides easier-to-use, more professional and reliable underwater solutions for a variety of industrial applications such as underwater rescue, hull and dock inspection, and aquaculture inspection.
