Against the backdrop of strikes on Kyiv, Germany announces delivery of Patriot to Ukraine

Ukraine may receive new Patriot systems. The delivery of two air defense systems may begin. This was stated by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen reports.

The prerequisite was that the American manufacturer would deliver the new systems as soon as possible so that Germany could continue to fulfill its obligations to NATO.

“There is a commitment on the part of the United States,” he said.

Thus, Germany could first support Ukraine with launchers and then with additional system components.

In particular, according to the Ministry, the Bundeswehr will supply Ukraine with additional Patriot launchers in the coming days. In the second stage, over the next two to three months, it will transfer additional components of the system to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense with additional Patriot batteries.

Attack on Kyiv on July 30

After a massive Russian shelling of Kyiv on Thursday evening, emergency services pulled several more bodies from the rubble. A total of 31 people were killed. Among them are five minors, the youngest child was two years old.

Russia is intensifying its drone warfare against Ukraine and increasingly relying on mass production. In fact, the aggressor is intensifying its attacks with the help of jet drones.

As a reminder, Russia attacked Kyiv with drones and injured two people.
