A woman died in a private house during a fire

A tragedy occurred in the village of Vilne in the Fastiv district: an 88-year-old woman died in a fire in a private house. The police received a report about the fire from concerned local residents who noticed smoke and tried to help. This was reported by the press service of the police in the Kyiv region.

Rescuers from the State Emergency Service and law enforcement officers immediately arrived at the scene. While extinguishing the fire, firefighters found the body of the owner of the house, who, unfortunately, did not survive.

The preliminary cause of the fire was careless handling of fire, but the final conclusions about this and the circumstances of the incident will be provided by a special investigation by the State Emergency Service. Investigators from the Fastiv District Police Department have launched a pre-trial investigation under Part 2 of Article 270 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of established fire or man-made safety rules, resulting in the death of a person.

Law enforcement officers in the Kyiv region are calling on citizens to strictly adhere to fire safety rules, especially in their own homes, to monitor electrical appliances and not to leave open flames unattended in order to avoid similar tragedies in the future.

We remind you that the driver of a Renault car ran over a cyclist on the Trushky-Fursy road.
