A petrol tanker nearly exploded on an international highway as a result of a fatal accident

On 24 January, the Brovarsky District Rescue Service in the Kyiv region received a report of a traffic accident on the ring road near the village of Kalynivka. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the region.

The duty crew of the 21st State Fire and Rescue Unit of the city of Brovary promptly arrived at the scene.

Upon arrival, rescuers determined that the accident involved two trucks. As a result of the collision, the engine compartment of the Scania truck caught fire. It was also necessary to extricate the victim from the Volvo car, a man born in 1969, as well as the deceased Scania driver, born in 1965.

The fire was completely extinguished at 10:40.

We remind you that traffic on the Kyiv-Chernihiv motorway was partially blocked due to an accident involving a petrol tanker.
