A man kept an arsenal of weapons in Bucha

In Bucha, Kyiv region, police officers exposed a 32-year-old man who illegally stored firearms and homemade ammunition. This was reported by the police press service.

He faces up to seven years in prison.

During the inspection, law enforcement officers found a pistol with three magazines and 25 rounds of ammunition, one of which was in the barrel. During a search of his place of registration in Kyiv, police seized two more pistols, 317 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition and a cap gun.

The man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Investigators under the procedural guidance of the Bucha District Prosecutor’s Office informed the suspect of his suspicion under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – illegal acquisition and storage of weapons and ammunition.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
