A road traffic accident near the village of Ozerne was reported at the 105th kilometre of the Kyiv–Odesa motorway. A 42-year-old man was injured after a lorry collided with a pedestrian. This was reported by the National Police press service.
According to preliminary information, the 32-year-old driver of a Renault Master was travelling towards the capital in the right-hand lane. A pedestrian suddenly stepped onto the road at a point not designated for crossing. This resulted in a collision, leading to the victim being hospitalised with moderate injuries.
Investigators from the Bila Tserkva District Police Department have already launched a pre-trial investigation into the breach of road safety regulations under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The police are urging members of the public to be particularly careful and to cross the road only at designated crossings. Simple safety rules can protect your life and health, and also help to prevent dangerous situations on the roads.
