The Kyiv-Bucharest train will start running on 10 October. The route will be Kyiv-Vinnytsia-Zhmerynka-Mogyliv-Podilskyi-Velchynets-Ungheni-Iasi-Bucharest. This was announced by the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
Departure from Kyiv is at 06:30, arrival in Bucharest is at 06:47 the next day. In the opposite direction, departure from the Romanian capital is at 19:10, arrival in Kyiv is at 19:41 the next day.
The train will arrive at Gara de Nord, Bucharest’s central station. High-speed electric trains run regularly from this station to the airport.
In a compartment car, the ticket price is approximately 3,800 UAH. Tickets can already be purchased on the Ukrzaliznytsia website in the app.
The Ministry of Development called the launch of the route another step towards Ukraine’s integration into the European transport space.
We will remind you that on 30 September, Russian troops shelled the railway infrastructure. Repeated attacks prevented trains on the Chernihiv route from returning to their usual schedule.
