A cigarette production workshop was set up at a pig farm in Bila Tserkva district

A cigarette manufacturing shop was set up in the Bila Tserkva district of Kyiv region.

A group of people used special equipment. The Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine provided details.

The offenders organised the illegal production of excisable goods on the territory of a former farm. They packaged cigarettes in packs, blocks and film.

The excise tax-free cigarettes were sold under the guise of well-known brands. They sold the goods mainly in Kyiv region.

The dealers also sent cigarettes through a well-known postal operator. Its branch was located one kilometre from the illegal workshop.

‘The daily volume was 50,000 packs of cigarettes,’ the agency said.

As a reminder, during the construction of the kindergarten, the director overestimated the cost of the work and embezzled the funds.
