Since the beginning of 2025, 14 people have died on the water bodies of the capital of Ukraine. That is why rescuers continue to remind that holidays should be not only enjoyable but also safe. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service on Facebook.
According to the agency, the heat is gaining momentum, and with it the desire to dive into the water. Unfortunately, every summer season brings sad statistics on tragic accidents.
During the outreach campaign, SES experts talked to holidaymakers to once again draw attention to the main thing:
- choose only officially permitted swimming places;
- never go into the water while intoxicated – this is one of the most common causes of tragedies;
- take care of children’s safety;
- avoid long swims and dangerous water activities;
- always follow the instructions of rescuers and pay attention to warning signs.
Everyone we talked to received themed leaflets with safety rules.
“We emphasise once again: Life is not a game! Take care of yourself and your loved ones,” the agency said.
The rescuers noted that if you witness an emergency, call 101 or 112.
As a reminder, Ukrzaliznytsia has launched additional flights from Kyiv for the summer season. In total, it has provided 18 pairs of additional trains.
