A train ran over a man in the village of Pustovity

The incident occurred on 26 April in the village of Pustovity, in the Myronivska territorial community.

An investigation is underway in the Kyiv region into the tragic death of a man who was struck by a train in the Obukhiv district. A medical worker notified the police of the fatal injury sustained by a local resident. This was reported by the regional police press office.

According to preliminary police data, a high-speed passenger train travelling on the Cherkasy-Kyiv route struck a 49-year-old man. The victim was standing near the railway tracks and, having lost his balance, fell onto the tracks just as the electric train was approaching. The man died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

Investigators from the Obukhiv District Police Department have launched a pre-trial investigation into this tragedy under Part 3 of Article 276 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Earlier in Vorzel, a Warsaw–Kyiv train struck and killed a man.
